The Friendly Bench wins RCC Award for Outstanding Impact

We are thrilled to announce that last Thursday, The Friendly Bench won The Outstanding Impact award at the RCC Rural Achievement Awards.

The Friendly Bench wins The Outstanding Impact award at the RCC Rural Achievement Awards 2019.

The RCC awards celebrate the outstanding work and contribution of people, groups and businesses active within Leicestershire and Rutland's rural communities and we were thrilled to be awarded their most prestigious award.

I (Lyndsey) collected the award from Jennifer Lady Gretton, accompanied with volunteers Jason and Caroline, after RCC's Director Sam Howlett gave a wonderful speech about The Friendly Bench, the impact we have had on our community and also our plans to expand. A short film about The Friendly Bench was also shared with all of the guests including Civic Dignitaries and other VIPs.
