The Friendly Bench™ CIC wins Best Social Enterprise award 2019
We are thrilled to announce that The Friendly Bench™ CIC has won the Best Social Enterprise award at the Grantham Journal Business Awards 2019.
The award, which was open to charities and social enterprises who could demonstrate significant commercial and social impact of their activities, had a high quality of entries and we were honoured to be selected alongside our fellow finalists and absolutely thrilled to be announced the Best Social Enterprise award winner.
Speaking about the finalists, Noel Reeves, head judge, commented that each had clearly evidenced commercial awareness and innovative strategies that complemented the altruistic aims of the organisation and, on behalf of all of the judges, everyone present and the wider community, he thanked all the finalists ‘for everything you do’.
This accolade follows on from us winning the Outstanding Impact award at the Rural Community Council Rural Achievement Awards just last month, and we are delighted that our young social enterprise and the positive impact of our organisation is making is being recognised in this way.
